Gerhard Polt - Leberkäs' Hawaii

Anyone that thinks their head looks like a pineapple needs to seek help.  This is one ultra stoopid cover.  Congrats Gerhard.

Bob McGilpin - Superstar

Goofy McGilpin.  This is listed in Nick DiFonzo's 'Seriously Bad Album Covers' book and clearly has a place in W&W.  Remember when we used to think that white pants, white shirt and white loafers were cool (1978).  Now the opposite applies.

The song titles are equally yeuuuch: "I'll Always Come A Runnin", "When You Feel Love", "Love Is Gonna Bring Me Back" and "I'm Not Alone Without You" (go figure that last track!!).  Oooops, I've just vomited.

Birthcontrol - Believe In The Pill (Best Of)

This band likes to hit you in the face - the cover sez it all.  Birthcontrol & the Pill. You can't see this and then be confused.  Ouch.

Karlheinz Stockhausen - Tierkreis

I can take a hint!  Upon blogging 'Opus 1970' (and thinking that everyone has everything by Karlheinz), to my amazement it had 1000 downloads in one day.  That's 1000!!!  Outstanding.  Normally, my blogs peak at 100/day (unless they feature some smut - that usually gets about 50 more on top of).  But - 1000 (not 1970 - ha ha).  I say again, wow.

So, here's more.  The master of W&W has more than a few acolytes.  Enjoy.

Karlheinz Stockhausen - Opus 1970

Can anyone explain why Karlheinz has not yet appeared on this blog?  He's bigtime W&W and this album is way out there.  I can remember the first time hearing this - whoah.  Bleeps and Bloops everywhere.  Sample heaven.

BTW - everything about this guy and the album is incredibly influential.  Should have mentioned that earlier.

Jo Jo Gunne - Jumpin' The Gunne

Totally spectacular and awesome.  At first glance however, this cover seems humdrum.  4 guys in a bed.  It's the foldout that sets this apart and leaves your jaws agape.  Splendid.
